Job Title: Commissioning, Validation & Verification HVAC Engineer
Location: Central Scotland (with regional travel)

Job Summary:
Responsible for commissioning, validating, and verifying ventilation systems in healthcare and controlled environments. Ensure systems meet SHTM03-01 and CSA Grade 1 compliance. Collaborate with clients and teams to maintain safety, functionality, and efficiency across critical care settings.

 

Key Responsibilities:

• Commission and verify HVAC systems (airflow, pressure, filtration, and functional testing).

• Document results in line with SHTM03-01 and internal reporting standards.

• Support compliance with CSA Grade 1 and other relevant healthcare frameworks.

• Conduct AHU checks, fault diagnosis, and performance optimisations.

• Collaborate with team for timely task delivery.

• Adhere to health and safety regulations.

• Support junior team members and contribute to continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience commissioning and testing ventilation systems.

• Meets CSA Grade 1 or equivalent Competent Person definition per SHTM03-01.

• Strong understanding of airflow dynamics and critical environment standards.

• Familiarity with tools like micromanometers, anemometers, and particle counters.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office for reporting and documentation.

• Full UK driving licence and flexibility for site travel.

 

Desirable:

• Experience with NHS facilities, cleanrooms, or sterile environments.

• Knowledge of ISO 14644, ISO 9001, and energy-efficient HVAC systems.

• Ongoing interest in professional development and certification.
